Messy in Maroon

Here is my casual FRIDAY outfit. I decided that I am going to make that a weekly thing. I realized that I tend to dress a little more dressy most of the time, but its important to dress it down sometimes too. What better day then Friday? So I think that's now going to be a thing.

So let me give a little background of where I got the inspiration for this outfit. My brother, Kenny, is my hero. I have yet to meet someone as passionate and driven as him. He had a dream... to sing and inspire people through his music. That dream has pushed him to give everything he has to music. I am so blessed to call him my brother and watch him make his dreams a reality. He has inspired me to follow my dreams and go after what I want.

So this post is a shout out to my INCREDIBLE talented little brother, Kenny. I love you brother!

So This shirt is part of his merchandise that you can purchase online(Click Here)
you should really go check it out. It is all so comfy and so affordable. This t-shirt is $15

The cardigan is from Tilly's. It was about $10 I think

The jeans are Seven For All Mankind. BUT I found them at My Sisters Closet for $18. What a steal! I love them because they are so loose and baggy which makes them so comfortable. This style of jean seems to be very in right now, if you are looking for a comfy and casual look!

I added small accents of maroon in the headband, lipstick, and shoes.

Basically I love this outfit and my brother so its a good day! Go check my brothers music out on iTunes! (click here to check it out!) Buy his stuff... trust me, you WONT be disappointed!

To learn more about him check him out at his official website(Click here). Enjoy the outfit, and ENJOY your weekend!

Mix AND Match

I have sure been bold this week... I don't know what has got into me, but I like it! Is this outfit fun or what?!

So the polka dot shirt: From H&M for a solid $20.

I'm loving this cardigan for spring. It's such a pretty pastel!! It is from J Crew but I got it from a friend for $5. Doesn't get much better than that!
These pants are from H&M as well. ON SALE FOR $5!!! SCORE!

The shoes(this style is so popular right now) are from a store called Focus. On sale for $10.

The Necklace was from Tilly's for $10

Outfit total= $50. Which kind of sounds like a lot but when you realize how many pieces I am wearing and break it down by each piece it is a steal! And I am in love!! What are your thoughts on pattern mixing?

Color Burst

Talk about lots of color... I would say this outfit is just that. I am not going to lie, I was a little scared to wear this at first. It is very bold, BUT let me tell you... I think this has been my most complimented outfit. BE BOLD FRIENDS! It obviously pays off.

So I'll start with the shirt. Honestly I don't really remember the price of the mustard polka dot shirt. I've had it for a long time, but I got it at a boutique in Utah called Mika Rose and I think it was probably $15?

The blue gingham shirt is from Old Navy. It was about $20. Which is actually not a bad price for this style of shirt!

The Royal Blue Skinny Jeans... This is a total steal. They were brand new Rock N Republic jeans (tag still on them) when I bought them at a THRIFT STORE in Virginia for $10. Seriously people. If you want to find some awesome thrift shop steals, go to VA!
And the shoes... Maroon pointed toe flats! Im in love. These were actually a gift from a dear friend but I believe she got them at Charlotte Russe. I'm sorry but I'm not sure on the price!

Well I have had requests from people to post this outfit... So I'm glad I finally go it up here. Enjoy it and let me know if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions!

Polished & Printed

Man I love a good pair of STATEMENT pants! These are just that. So I love this outfit for so many reasons but the biggest reason is because it is so comfortable! I know right, sounds impossible to dress comfy and cute... but guess what, IT IS POSSIBLE... and that is what I love most about it. It's perfect for any occasion. The necklace, shoes, and leather jacket dress it up enough for a nice dinner, but come on... I'm wearing leggings. Doesn't get more casual than that! So it is easily dressed down.

So lets talk prices. Necklace is from Tilly's. Seriously, I've had people ask me if its from J Crew. SURPRISE its not... its a ten dollar necklace from Tilly's.

The teal shirt... Target. I think I paid about $15 for it.

The leather jacket was a steal! Forever 21 for $25. It is so comfy and actually pretty warm.

The leggings also came from good ole Tilly's. $15

And my favorite shoes. 20% off just because. I think they ended up coming to $30

So the thing is I bought all these pieces separate. I just find a good deal, buy things here and there and before you know it, you have tons of inexpensive items to mix and match. This is how it turned out for me. Hope you like it!

Casual Cliché

Well happy CASUAL Friday! For today I chose to go with a simple look. Nothing too crazy but enough to have people notice. I AM IN LOVE... with these pants. They have a sort of Boho feel to them and the Aztec print really makes them a winner. So since I had lots of neutrals here... I decided to do a simple pop of color in the necklace and in my new favorite lipstick(Juicy Papaya Lip Butter by Revlon).

**THIS WHOLE OUTFIT WAS $30 from a store called "Q"
(well the shoes are from Old Navy)

Hope you are loving your Casual Friday as much as I am!!

Cranberry Craze

Okay this is my new FAVORITE outfit! I would seriously wear it every day if that was socially acceptable... Let me start with the cranberry. It has been my favorite color this season. It goes with anything and gives any outfit the perfect amount of color. Since my purpose is to show that you can dress cute on a low budget, I will be telling you where I bought everything and about how much I bought it for.

These skinnies are from Tilly's for $29. Not the cheapest BUT they are the most comfortable jeans I think I have ever worn.

The Cranberry lipstick is from CVS: Revlon ColorStay 035 Backstage for $10
Suggested by the AMAZING make up artist, Jocelyn Birchall from Jocey Bossy Beauty. Check her out on Instagram at joceybossy_beauty or styleseat.com/bossybeauty

Now the top... a little Bohemian cream shirt(Boho is so in!) placed over a cheetah print collared shirt! You are going to die when you find out where I got it...

The Boho Shirt is from Target, in the clearance section for $10
The necklace(which looks like it could come from J Crew) is from a thrift shop for $10
and for the SHOCKER purchase:
The Cheetah print shirt is from WALMART for $10... you would never guess!

The Boots were buy one get one free so they evened out to about $20

What a steal for this stylish look!! Comment and tell me what you think.
